Restoring Sight to change lives
At Annapurneswari trust, we believe that good vision is a fundamental human right, not a privilege. As part of our commitment to community health and social responsibility, we conduct Free Eye Camps to bring quality eye care to those who need it the most.
Why Free Eye Camps?
Millions of people in under served communities suffer from preventable or treatable vision problems due to lack of awareness, access, or affordability. Our eye camps aim to:
- Detect vision issues early
- Provide basic treatment on-site
- Prevent avoidable blindness
- Educate the public on eye health
Services Offered
Each camp is staffed by a team of qualified ophthalmologists, optometrists, and trained volunteers who provide:
- Free eye check-ups and screenings
- Spectacles for refractive errors (free of charge for those in need)
- Diagnosis of conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy
- Referral and follow-up for surgical cases
- Health education and awareness sessions on preventive eye care
Outreach & Impact
We organize eye camps in:
- Rural villages and tribal areas
- Urban slums and low-income communities
- Schools, orphanages, and old age homes
- Disaster-affected and remote regions
Each camp is conducted in collaboration with partner hospitals, and community leaders to ensure high impact and long-term follow-up.
Making a Difference
Through these camps, we have helped several individuals regain their sight, return to work, and lead more independent lives. Many have received their first-ever eye check-up through our efforts — a small step that led to life-changing outcomes.
